The press announcement published by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security is as follows: Recently, as a Ministry; we are sadly observing that in our country, employers who bringing foreign nationals with work permit from the third world countries; are being victimized by some intermediaries and institutions working on this subject.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Security has no ties to and connection with the intermediaries and institutions that bring the staff from abroad to our country. Also, these individuals and institutions do not have a legal status in the TRNC. According to Article 61 of the Labor Law No. 22/1992, effective in our country: To find a job for the workers, to find a worker for an employer or workman and with the purpose of gaining money or not, to operate, work or open an office is forbiden.

According to the legal legislation, the only authority in this regard is the TRNC Labor and Social Security Ministry. As the Ministry, we advice to employers; when demanding workers from abroad, please investigate the qualifications of the workers to be issued a work permit, follow the work permit operations period from the beginning the workers come to T.R.N.C. and the places they will stay in and show required importance.
